Kooey & West Surfing up support for Miss Universe

Australian swimwear label Kooey Australia and Australian surfing brand West Surfing Products have been unveiled as the Official Swimwear Sponsors for the 2012 MISS UNIVERSE®, 2012 MISS USA® and 2012 MISS TEEN USA® competitions.

Having recently merged under the parent company, Brandwest Group, the two labels have increased their support of the Miss Universe Organization by sponsoring all three major pageants this year.

Kooey Australia is the Official Swimwear Sponsor for the 2012 MISS UNIVERSE® and the 2012 MISS USA® Competitions and West Surfing Products is the Official Swimwear Sponsor for the 2012 MISS TEEN USA® Competition.

Kooey operations director and designer Nikki Silverthorne said: “Each year our partnership with the Miss Universe Organization grows bigger and better. We are incredibly excited to be so heavily involved this year and look forward to working closely with the organization and the titleholders.”

Kooey Australia will kick-off the year as an Official Sponsor, this summer, when contestants from around the United States take to the stage for the swimwear portion of the 2012 MISS USA® Competition.

Kooey Australia has long been a supporter of the Miss Universe Organization, having been a major sponsor of Miss Universe Australia since 2009 and the Official Swimwear Sponsor for the 2011 MISS TEEN USA® Competition.

It also featured Miss Universe Australia winners, Jesinta Campbell and Scherri-Lee Biggs, in its advertising campaigns and designed the national costume worn by Miss Universe Australia 2011, Scherri-Lee Biggs, at the 2011 MISS UNIVERSE® Competition in São Paulo, Brazil.

2012 marks the first year of West Surfing Product’s involvement with the Miss Universe Organization. In addition to sponsoring the 2012 MISS TEEN USA® Competition, it will be heavily involved with the Western Australian heats for Miss Universe Australia.
