Kinky Knickers roll out across the UK

Mary Portas’ new brand Kinky Knickers is launching in stores across the UK, this week.

The retail guru was forced to wait one month to deliver the intimate items, after negotiating a four week exclusive with department store Liberty.

According to manufacturer Headen & Quarmby, the retailers stocking the product will include ASOS, John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Boots, Selfridges and Houser of Fraser.

They will retail for £10 and £1 from every pair of knickers sold by Boots will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.

“It is all hands to the pump trying to get the stock out,” Headen & Quarmby owner David Moore told Lingerie Insight.” We didn’t expect it to have such a great take up. And, we have been contacted by a lot of retailers interested in taking on products.”

Last week, lace manufacturer Jim Stacey told Lingerie Insight: “I’ll be working probably until 10 or 11 o’clock tonight keeping production going.”

The second programme in Mary Portas TV series Mary’s Bottom Line will air tonight at 9pm on channel 4.
