Kinky Knickers launches ecommerce site

Manufacturer Headen & Quarmby has launched an ecommerce site for its Made in Britain underwear brand Kinky Knickers.

Handmade lingerie is now available to buy from kinkyknickersuk.com, but the brand will continue to be sold through independent retailers, reports Drapers.

Kinky Knickers was brought to market by Mary ‘Queen of Shops’ Portas in 2012, when she reopened Headen & Quarmby, a Manchester-based factory as part of her Channel 4 programme Mary’s Bottom Line.

The factory ran in to trouble earlier this year when its 33 members of staff lost their jobs following the appointment of administrators BDO. But it is now back in business after being bought by Headen & Quarmby UK in February.
