Princess Kate may have wowed audiences in her Sarah Burton dress, but the designer of her lingerie still remains a royal secret.
However, it has been revealed that a fortnight ago, the princess spend an afternoon buying lingerie with her mother and sister at a local shop in Hungerford, Berkshire.
Kate was fitted at store Angela Knight Lingerie, which stocks labels such as Velda Lauder Corsetiere, Myla and Sally Jones, with prices ranging between £30 and £130 for a bra.
A more risque section sells items including upmarket corsets, negligees, feather boas and riding crops. The store also features a burlesque-themed private area, where men can watch their wives or girlfriends have a fitting.
While proprietor Angela Knight refused to reveal the exact items bought, she did admit that the trio bought sets of lingerie and, a week later, a package with the shop’s name was delivered to the family home, according to the Daily Mail.
Kate’s mother Carole has reportedly been a customer of the lingerie store for years.
Owner Knight, who closed the business for the afternoon for her special guests, told the paper: “When the Middletons came in, I just acted normally even though I had no prior warning they were coming.
“I think of my shop as a theatre so for me, it worked very well to invite our future Queen into that theatre.”
