Karolina Laskowska creates intimates in goat skin

Award-winning lingerie designer Karolina Laskowska has teamed up with Norwegian fashion designer Alexander Lindseth to launch Obscura, a brand of hand-made intimate apparel that will be entirely made in London.

The first pieces created under the Obscura name are a scarred goatskin crop top with back harness structuring and gold plated components that can be worn with voluminous silk georgette tap pants with a selvedge hem and silk habotai ruffle and Cicatrix, a silk habotai kimono finished with French seams and silk binding.

Future offerings will include sheer mesh and cotton jersey pieces, created to be worn with Karolina’s lingerie designs.

The initial Obscura collection is due to be released to retail at the end of August 2015.

Norwegian born designer Alexander Lindseth studied Fashion Design at TEKO Design and Business School in Denmark, where he earned special recognition for his graduate collection.

Lindseth’s work is shaped by his prevalent interest in raw and obscure aesthetics yet it is greatly influenced by traditional tailoring techniques.

Karolina Laskowska began as a lingerie brand in 2012, after the designer was asked to sell her course creations from online fans.

Founded alongside her studies at De Montfort University’s renowned Contour Fashion, the brand went from strength to strength, receiving critical acclaim including winner of Best New Designer at the UK Lingerie Awards in 2014.
