Footballer John Terry has invested in luxury men’s swimwear brand Thomas Royall.

The Chelsea captain became involved in the label, which was founded by fellow footballer Liam Ridgewell, after purchasing swim shorts from its online store.

“I bought a pair of shorts online and I was happy with how they were delivered and everything,” he told Soccer AM presenter John “Fenners” Fendley. “So I came in to learn a bit more about them and that’s how it all started.”

Terry attended the launch of the label’s pop-up stand at the Boxpark in London’s Shoreditch last month.

Thomas Royall was established by Ridgewell, a defender for Portland Timbers, two years ago. It focuses on men’s and children’s swimwear and stands out for its bright colours and unique prints.
