Underwear brand Jockey will introduce its first women’s loungewear collection to European markets in AW14.
The feminine range is in-keeping with the all-American style seen in Jockey’s USA Originals collection of underwear, but uses an ‘aspen lodge-inspired’ colour palette, with hues of navy, frost white, red and plum.
The mix ‘n’ match line includes jersey pants, camis, tank tops, t-shirts and long sleeve shirts.
Jockey has previously focussed on its staple ranges of men’s underwear, including Classic, Modern and 3D-Innovations, before successfully launching the men’s fashion collections in more recent years.
But the brand says it has now spotted a gap in the “heavily lingerie led” women’s market.
Jens C Noll, product director at Jockey commented: “We saw huge potential with this collection to add credibility to our European offering and make a difference in the market after the success of the men’s night and loungewear ranges. We listened to the buyers requests for fashionable, high quality women’s pieces and created the collection to complement the men’s ranges.”
