A Japanese company is offering free men’s underwear – the only catch is that it’s covered in advertisements.
Subscribers can receive up to seven pairs of boxers per month, delivered free to their home.
The website, free-pants.jp, claimed on its Twitter feed that it has already exceeded 50,000 subscribers and is now struggling with an ‘excessive server load.’
Each pair of underpants has a logo or advertisement on it. The companies that pay for the product win by having their logo viewed by the wearer and their family (when washed or hung out to dry on the washing line) an estimated eight times per day.
The pants are made from 95 percent polyester and five percent cotton. They are available in ‘one size fits all.’
