INVISTA, owner of the Lycra fibre brand, has launched a new cooling technology to improve comfort performance in the shapewear sector.
The company presented the technology, developed by the Lycra Beauty brand, at Interfilière New York on Monday.
COOLING is designed to address the problem of shapewear discomfort due to body temperature.
It was developed after INVISTA found that 69% of female consumers find moisture management in shapewear to be extremely or very important.
“The secret of COOLING technology by Lycra Beauty is COOLMAX technology,” said INVISTA Apparel strategy and business development director Arnaud Ruffin.
“It features fibres with an engineered cross-section, enabling moisture to reach the fabric’s outer surface where it evaporates quickly.”
