INVISTA marketing account manager Claire O’Neill said: “As experts in the legwear industry, we are constantly researching fashion trends around the globe and how these will impact future legwear design.”

“I’m very proud of our seven key trends for 2014-2015. These accessible styles will be just as popular on the high street as they will be on the catwalk, and the presence of LYCRA® fibre means the fit will last, and the wearer will be as comfortable as she is stylish,” she added.

Key trends in INVISTA’s its Legwear Innovation Fashion Directions collection for 2014-2015 include Beauty Lab, a look which uses a minimalist palette with creative contouring to create constructive silhouettes; Do the Twist, which plays with geometric patterns; Raw and Wild, featuring animal prints and earthy tones; and Cabaret, a look inspired by the Cancan, featuring a vibrant palette, ruffles and ruches.

Other trends include Montmartre, inspired the belle-époque spirit of Toulouse Lautrec’s Montmartre, with nostalgic decorations of ribbons and lace; Athletic Chic, which mixes geometrics, juxtaposed with sheers, daring slashes and open works; and Creative Energy, a trend which entertains one-off patterning and playful creativity connected to cutting- edge technology.
