The 2013 Internet Retailing Conference will be held in London next month to educate retailers on the importance of maximising customer experience across a multitude of channels.
Top names in fashion, including Laura Wade-Gery, executive director for multi-channel e-commerce at Marks & Spencer and Shivani Tejuja, multi-channel director at New Look, will offer ideas on how to ensure online success and discuss the reality of businesses going digital.
With 72% of the UK population owning a smartphone and 50% using it to make purchases, industry experts will warn retailers that they must be prepared to maximise the customer experience at all possible touch points.
Google UK country retail director Peter Fitzgerald will make the closing keynote at the conference. He commented: “We, as consumers, always have the Internet at our fingertips for price checks, product reviews and additional product range choice, therefore businesses that have seamless touch points across channels and devices will win and win big.
“Companies that use data to customise to the needs of individuals make shopping more fun and relevant for them will lead the pack.”
The Internet Retailing Conference will be held on October 16 at the Novotel in Hammersmith.
There will be three clear themes for the conference, with experts sharing their knowledge of The Customer, The Business and The Industry as well as a further eight free workshops.
