The July 2014 edition of Interfilière Paris will focus on fibres as a principal theme.
The goal is to showcase fibres in an interactive way – to help brands select the best fibres for their garments, organisers said at a press conference in London this week, ahead of the trade show.
“With an ever longer list of consumer requirements to satisfy, the fibre selection process is becoming increasingly strategic,” they said. “Softness, elasticity, lightness, strength and flexibility are just a few of the performance criteria taken into account when designing textile.
Interfilière, to be held at Porte de Versailles from July 5-7, in conjunction with Mode City, will offer in-depth insight into fibres through a dedicated space and conference.
Last season, the show focused on embroidery, celebrating centuries of know-how in the creative area.
