German embroidery manufacturer Bischoff Textil has been awarded the title of Paris Capitale de la Creation Designer of the Year 2014 for the Intimates category by Interfilière Paris.
Established in 1927, Bischoff has developed an international reputation, working with lingerie and ready-to-wear brands including Chantelle, Wacoal, Maison Lejaby, Prada and Stella McCartney.
The company specialises in using thermocut technology to create its designs, which enables several embroidery techniques to be combined using mechanical hot-cutting machines.
In 2014, the January edition of Interfilière Paris will focus on embroidery as a principle theme, celebrating centuries of know-how in this creative area, and looking at how today’s manufacturers will take the craft forward into Spring/Summer 2015.
The show, to be held at Porte de Versailles from January 24-27, in conjunction with Salon International de la Lingerie et du Swimwear, will feature an ‘Exception’ area, where only the finest embroidery creations from Interfilière exhibitors, including Bischoff, will be showcased.
Interfilière has also invited textile designer Daniel Henri to create couture looks from exhibitors’ embroideries.
