Lingerie Insight’s exclusive series of INDX SHOWSTOPPERS continues this week with comments from an independent retailer based in Lincoln.
After exhibiting at the show earlier this month, we asked individual buyers to select their favourite lingerie, nightwear and swimwear designs from the trade show.
So far, Nicola Silcock, owner of the Lingerie Room in Harrogate, Michele Poynter, managing director of Mish in Cornwall, Liz Brighton, owner of Odette Lingerie in Old Amersham, Carly Homewood, owner of online lingerie boutique First Boulevard in Cornwall and Claudia May, owner of Claudia May Lingerie in Somerset, have named their show-stopping styles.
And today’s the turn of Claire Woodall, owner of Lincoln Bra Lady in North Hykeham, and online boutique Clairewoodall.com.
Daisy Lace by Freya
“As always, Freya presented great collections, with a great size range, and I feel that the brand is targeting the correct audience when it comes to style, prints and colours. Stand-out styles were new underwired half-cups, such as Daisy Lace. This has a good price point and reflects fashion trends seen across A-D collections on the high street. We are also seeing the same half-cup padded styles in Freya Fancies, Summer Haze and Forest Song. This means that if a customer likes the style we can offer more variations on the same bra.”
Tonya by Anita Care
“I can’t fault the products, prices and support offered at Anita Care, which is why this brand will always be a firm favourite for me. This season, it has relaunched Tonya, but with a pattern taken from Josephine. This is a great style for post-surgery ladies wanting a prettier version of an old favourite. This will make fittings easy as we know the bra so well and ladies who come into our store know and trust this style.”
