UK lingerie and swimwear trade show INDX Intimate Apparel has opened its doors to buyers and the press.
The show is taking place at Cranmore Park in Solihull until Tuesday evening, with a record 157 exhibitors in attendance.
This is the first time that the exhibition, organised by UK buying group Associated Independent Stores (AIS), has opened on a Sunday and ran over three days.
It follows and unprecedented demand for exhibition space at Cranmore Park following Moda’s announcement that it will not include lingerie and swimwear in its line-up at NEC Birmingham this year.
Among the brands exhibiting this season, more than 40 will be making their INDX debut. They include Dita Von Teese Lingerie, Promise, A Gift From The Gods, Eberjey and Magic Bodyfashion.
Other big names include Triumph, Wacoal Europe, Anita, Sloggi, Chantelle, Naturana, DKNY, Miraclesuit and Panache.
Visitor numbers are expected to reach record heights too, with an unprecedented number of registrations received, according to AIS.
“We are looking forward to welcoming a significant number of first-time visitors alongside our regular attendees and are expecting an increase in footfall from across the whole of the UK and Ireland,” said chief organiser Amanda Partridge.
As well as an increase in the number of collections on display, an extra day of trading is expected to result in a bumper turn-out.
