INDX Intimate Apparel has hailed the UK Lingerie Awards as an “extremely positive initiative” for the industry after attending the event last week.

Organisers behind industry trade show, which backed the black tie ceremony as Supporting Partner for the first time, said they were thrilled with the turnout and praised the event for enabling brands, retailers and distributors to recognise the efforts of their peers.

“INDX Intimate Apparel was delighted to participate in the UK Lingerie Awards as a supporting partner this February,” said chief INDX organiser Amanda Partridge.

“It was a fantastic evening and it was great to see the Industry coming together in celebration, especially after such a busy couple of days at the INDX Intimate Apparel Show – which was our busiest show to date having welcomed buyers representing over 500 stores.”

She added: “The awards are an extremely positive initiative as they continue to provide the whole industry with the opportunity to vote to recognise the efforts of their favourite brands, retailers and distributors.

“We were delighted that so many brands and retailers could attend the glittering black tie event and are pleased to have been involved in such a special industry occasion, and the first awards that have been held in Solihull. Looking forward to next year!”

The winners of the 2018 UK Lingerie Awards were revealed on February 19, the second evening of INDX Intimate Apparel.

Two hundred guests at St Johns Hotel in Solihull enjoyed a three-course dinner and free-flowing drinks as they toasted the best suppliers, retailers and distributors in the business.
