Industry welcomes Letters From Evie

Newcomer Letters from Evie has reported a ‘great sell-in’ for its first collection for Spring Summer 2011.

The range of vintage lingerie and swimwear has been sold to over 300 independents across the UK and Ireland.

The brand has also gained several key accounts, including Figleaves, JD Williams,, and Shop Direct.

The ‘Wish You Were Here’ swimsuit, with retro 50’s styling and bold print, was the most popular piece, but the ‘Sweet Nothings’ and ‘Hello Darling’ lingerie ranges were also reported to be a success with buyers.

Letters From Evie are also dipping in to social media for the first time ahead of the brands launch in January, with their Twitter account already up and running and a facebook group on the way. The Letters From Evie standalone website also launches in January, featuring the distinctive “Evie” styling and daily blog.

Jo Stockdale, Commercial Director for Ballet and Letters From Evie said “We are really pleased with the reaction to Letters From Evie. We have so much fun designing it and I think that really comes across in the end result.”
