The final-year projects that will be presented at this year’s Contour Fashion Show hosted by De Montfort University have been chosen by an industry panel.
Course leader Gillian Proctor was joined by seven judges in Leicester yesterday in selecting 22 collections to be shown on the catwalk next month.
The panel included Lingerie Insight editor Sarah Clarke, Coco de Mer managing director Lucy Litwack, independent lingerie stylist and bra fitting expert Monica Harrington, Debenhams head of menswear design Julian Fuller, freelance consultant Craig Spellar, APM Agency director and founder of The Lingerie Edit David Finlayson and catwalk show producer John Walford.
Fifty-one final-year students presented their work on live models, before the most innovative and creative designs were selected for the show.
The chosen designs will be revealed online at LingerieInsight.com in the coming weeks, and in the July issue of Lingerie Insight magazine, which will be distributed at Mode City, Paris.
The 2017 Contour Fashion Show and exhibition will be held on June 8 at the Freemasons’ Hall in London’s Covent Garden.
The show will mark Contour Fashion’s 70th anniversary.
