House of Fraser appoints new lingerie buying team

House of Fraser has made two new appointments to its lingerie buying team, Lingerie Insight has learned.

The new head buyer for lingerie and hosiery is Claudia Walker and the new assistant buyer is Abigail Gaskin.

Walker previously worked for House of Fraser’s Womenswear branded team. She replaces Isabel Keith, who has recently joined Ann Summers.

Gaskin is a former buyers’ assistant for the department store’s Fashion Accessories team.

House of Fraser, which offers a comprehensive range of lingerie, from everyday basics to luxurious sets, claimed the title Department Store of the Year at the 2015 UK Lingerie Awards.

Over the last few months, the brand has refurbished several stores, with more planned for this year.

Within its lingerie departments, it has introduced an Ultimo shop-fit in its Oxford Street store and a Calvin Klein concession in Birmingham.

The biggest success of 2015 was House of Fraser’s Perfect Fit event, which saw the best sales on record in Spring 15, with lingerie trading +16% versus the previous year and +2% versus its optimistic forecast.
