Legwear brand ITEM m6 has won an international design award for its innovative Cosy tights.
The German brand beat off competition from manufacturers, designers and architects from 54 countries to win the Red Dot Award for excellent design quality.
Members of the Red Dot panel of judges tested, discussed and assessed over 5,500 designs as part of a multi-day evaluation process.
Professor Dr. Peter Zec, initiator and CEO of the Red Dot Award said: “The winners are following the right design strategy. They understand that good design and economic success go hand in hand. The award presented by the Red Dot panel of judges is proof of their excellent design quality and is an indication of their successful strategy.”
This is the fifth time ITEM m6 has received a Red Dot award in three years.
The competition has previously recognised the brand for its Soft Touch tights, Invisible tights, Shape Translucent tights and packaging.
The brand’s Cosy Tights feature high-tech “Heat Loops”, which act like an insulation layer that blocks the cold and retains body heat.
They have also been made with compression technology to promote blood circulation and improve the supply of oxygen throughout the body.
