Honey Birdette steps up global expansion plans with US launch

Australian lingerie label Honey Birdette will launch its online store in the US this week, less than six months after opening three boutiques in the UK.

After witnessing a 374% increase in online sales over the last 12 months, the brand has made the decision to expand into new markets.

“Aiming to enhance the customers experience, the new platform offers faster delivery, easy postal returns and an expanded product range dedicated to the US market,” the brand said in a statement.

The news comes two weeks after Honey Birdette announced its intention to ‘monopolise’ the UK market following the recent buyout of Agent Provocateur.

In the last 12 months, the brand has opened stores in London’s Covent Garden, Westfield White City and Leeds’ Victoria Gate, and plans to open 10 more UK stores in 2017.
