Hollywood stars front new M&S campaign

Marks & Spencer has signed Green Lantern star Ryan Reynolds and Transformers’ actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to be the new faces of its Autograph collection.

The pair will feature in a glamorous print campaign, shot by BAFTA awards photographer Greg Williams at the St Pancras Grand in London.

M&S executive director Steve Sharp said: “Rosie and Ryan are the perfect fit for Autograph – beautiful, exclusive and absolutely contemporary… On set, they worked together to deliver a mesmerising performance which allowed us to capture shots that literally sizzle with excitement and an air of mystery.

“It’s a very different campaign for M&S as it’s the first time that we have focussed on one of our brands in this way. We are very proud of the result – a set of truly stunning photographs that totally encapsulates the Autograph brand.”

The Autograph brand encompasses lingerie, swimwear, nightwear, general women’s fashion and accessories. The new collection will be available in M&S stores and online from September 1.

Huntington-Whiteley, a former Victoria’s Secret lingerie model who has previously fronted campaigns for designer labels such as Burberry, said: “I feel proud to be associated with a British high street favourite that holds fond memories for so many people.”

Reynolds, who recently separated from actress wife Scarlett Johansson, agreed. He added: “Going into an M&S store with my family or friends always gives me a beautiful pang of nostalgia. The Autograph collection is a modern take on the classic style I love and feel most comfortable wearing. The pieces in this collection are lasting staples that’ll never go out of style.”

The new Limited Collection will also be on sale on the same day with an advertising campaign which will feature up-and-coming models and actresses Sophie Byron, Suki Waterhouse and Louise De Chevigny. The sixties-inspired range incorporates animal print and body con dresses.
