House of Fraser came out on top at the Heart of Manchester Retail Awards last week, scooping three prestigious gongs.
The public voted the retailer’s historic Deansgate shop the Department Store of the Year, while boss Anne Latham was crowned Manager of the Year and Vincent Tuohy took home the Employee of the Year award.
Selfridges’ Manchester flagship on Exchange Square was also a big winner, picking up the sought-after Visual Merchandising Team of the Year award and the Rising Star award for shop assistant Fabienne Gawne.
The awards, organised by the Heart of Manchester BID, in partnership with the Manchester Evening News, took place at a glitzy ceremony at the Place Hotel on Thursday evening.
The inaugural event showcased the strength of the Manchester’s retail sector and its contribution to the city’s economy, as well as the diverse, dedicated and talented work force employed in the industry.
