Helena Christensen will launch her SS14 lingerie collection for Triumph at Fenwick, Bond Street this afternoon.
The supermodel and designer will be joined by British Fashion Council CEO Caroline Rush to present two new collections – Nightingale and Drafonfly – at the department store.
Explaining the inspirations behind the new collections, Christensen said: “Femininity means so many things and I wanted to explore how it can be translated with the new collection. With the nostalgic feel of the first series, I sought to embrace the seductive confidence of femme fatales of the Silver Screen. The second, is more contemporary and couture-inspired. Its iridescent sculptural forms envelope the body, softly shaping and empowering the wearer."
Fenwick of Bond Street managing director David Walker Smith commented: “Valentine’s Day a timely reminder for everyone to treat themselves, and perfect timing for our team to welcome one of the original supermodels to our store to launch her new lingerie collection for Triumph. If anyone knows about looking fabulous in lingerie it has to be Helen Christensen, and she has used her years of experience to create a polished collection our customers will adore.”
Christensen made her first foray into design in September 2012, creating a SS13 lingerie collection for Triumph.
The collection consisted of three ranges – Poetica, Ballerina and Dahlia.
Today’s presentation will start at 3pm and will be followed by a champagne reception.
