Hanro unveils 65ft mural at New York store

Swiss brand Hanro has unveiled a 65ft mural created by fine artist and illustrator David Foote at its flagship store in New York’s Meatpacking District.

The unveiling marked the Meatpacking District’s transformation into a destination of contemporary art, thanks to the reopening of the nearby Whitney Museum of American Art.

Typical of Foote’s eccentric, creative vision, the curved mural – inspired by street art – incorporates lace patterns from Hanro’s garments and Foote’s interpretation of the ‘Hanro woman’.

The launch was celebrated at a series of events attended by VIPs, press and customers between 30 April and 2 May 2015 at the Hanro store on Washington Street.
