Swiss lingerie brand Hanro will open its first UK store in London next month.
Hanro, which is sold in 120 UK outlets and department stores including Harrods and Selfridges, has signed a ten-year lease for 6 South Molton Street, Mayfair.
The new shop, which measures 35m2, will open in mid-September and an official launch will take place on October 9.
The move follows a growth in sales of Hanro’s products in the UK over the last five years, according to the brand’s managing director Stephan Hohmann.
“Our UK distributors Intimates are launching the store for us and we have high expectations for the first quarter as we approach London’s high footfall around Christmas shopping,” he said.
Hanro, which will celebrate its 130 year anniversary in 2014, currently has five monobrand stores worldwide, three of which are in Europe.
The new shop will hold a full collection of Hanro’s women’s and men’s lingerie, nightwear and loungewear.
