Swiss lingerie and nightwear brand Hanro has been named Designer of the Year 2016 by Salon International de la Lingerie.
The label was recognised for its outstanding creativity over its 130-year history.
Commenting on the win, Hanro CEO Stephan Hohmann said: “This prize proves that Hanro is an incomparable brand on an international level, and indispensable for the portfolio of each lingerie retailer.”
Hanro will be presented with the award at Salon International de la Lingerie, which will open in Paris on January 23.
Marie-Laure Bellon, CEO of trade show organiser Eurovet, said: “The perfectionist dedication to elegance and quality is what brought Hanro renowned worldwide, and led us to select it as Designer of the Year 2016.”
Hanro follows in the footsteps of French brand Marjolaine, renowned swimwear brand Melissa Odabash and French beachwear label Carioca Collection in receiving the Designer of the Year award.
