Heritage lingerie brand Silhouette has recruited a business graduate to join its executive team.
Twenty-six-year-old Kim Lawford graduated with a business management degree from Kings College London in July last year and started in his new role of business development executive on December 18.
“Silhouette Lingerie has been a godsend in the sense that it has enabled me to gain experience in a variety of business functions due to the all-encompassing nature of the firm, from production to first point of contact sales,” Lawford told Lingerie Insight.
“Working at a family business has been a good fit for me due to my family’s own entrepreneurial nature.”
Lawford’s mother owns Darwin’s sandwich shop in Shrewsbury and has displayed her own marketing nous by managing to get her pig – named Scarlett – from a humble farm in Shropshire to star alongside Emma Thompson in blockbuster hit, Nanny Mcphee.
“I am very much looking forward to continuing my professional development at Silhouette, and learning the intricacies of the garment industry,” added Lawford.
