Gossard and Pretty Polly channel vintage glamour in collaborative campaign

Nottingham-based brands Gossard and Pretty Polly have teamed up to direct a glamorous photoshoot starring local burlesque performer Scarlett Daggers.

Daggers is the owner of The Gilded Merkin, a big-budget burlesque show, which appears at the Glee Clubs in Nottingham, Birmingham Cardiff.

For the shoot, which took place at Nottinghams’ Hockley Arts Club, she wore a range of lingerie from Gossard, including the Retrolution Staylo plunge bra and slip, and hosiery from Pretty Polly, including the Pretty Delightful tights featuring a retro back seam (below), and lace-top stockings and fishnets.

The shoot took place at Nottingham’s Hockley Arts Club and images were taken by Nottingham Trent graduate turned entrepreneur Lisa Williams of Cherry Bomb Rock Photography, which specialises in retro and vintage pin-up portraiture and burlesque photography.

Gossard and Pretty Polly said they were eager to reach out to the local area for collaborations, as Nottingham has a wealth of creative people and strong roots in the lingerie and hosiery industry.

Gossard general manager Darren Pepper added: “For this collaboration we wanted to showcase both brands on a burlesque performer and just have some fun creating looks using a mix of Scarlett’s costumes and our products.

“We were fortunate enough to secure a fantastic venue in Nottingham that helped to bring together what we consider to be a fantastic shoot.”

Daggers commented: “I’m extremely proud to collaborate with and represent two such well-known and respected brands from my home town, the birth place of The Gilded Merkin.”
