British lingerie and loungewear brand Gilda & Pearl will be launch a diffusion line named after its founder and designer, Diane Houston.
Renowned for its British made luxury designs inspired by classic cinema’s most glamorous Femme Fatales, the diffusion line will offer customers the opportunity to indulge in the Gilda & Pearl aesthetic at a more accessible price point, with pieces from £40-£280.
The collection consists of pyjama sets, camisoles, shorts, kimonos, robes and slips in two exclusive prints – ‘Dolly’ which features vintage-inspired ladies in their boudoir against rose silk, ‘Kitty’; hand drawn cheetahs on ivory silk satin.
The ‘Daisy’ range is a spot tulle collection, inspired by original pieces from the 1960’s and finished with subtle accents of French Leavers lace.
“I am continually discovering new prints, silhouettes and textures to work with, and I’m delighted to be able to introduce some of these in the diffusion line, which offers a different, slightly more fun take on the Gida & Pearl aesthetic,” said Houston.
“It’s exciting to bring bold, beautiful new designs and new sensual fabrics to our offering. The collection is influenced by some of my favourite vintage nightwear styles and fabrics – for this line, I’ve chosen the prettiest pieces which also have a sense of joy while feeling timeless.”
Managing director Richard Hinzel said: “The Diane Houston diffusion line offers a chance for us to reach new audiences via direct-to-consumer channels, as well as opening many new retailer doors around the world thanks to its price point and aesthetic.
“Youthful and fun, the Diane Houston line will introduce new customers to the Gilda & Pearl ethos – beauty, character and craft – at a more accessible price. We like to think about it as though Gilda & Pearl has introduced their stunning younger sister to the world.”
