Gerbe has announced a collaboration with designer Gaspard Yurkievich for its new AW11/12 collection.
The new line of hosiery, which corresponds to Yurkievich’s Pret-a-Porter and shoe range, marks the brands’ first working partnership.
Yurkievitch said: “I wanted this collection to reflect the urban and glamorous spirit of the brand. The collection spirit mirrors the timeless classicism of femininity and seduction, as well as the graphic and modern character that corresponds to the women of today. Thanks to our collaboration with Gerbe, I am proud to launch a complete collection, which is in absolute harmony with my creative work.”
He added: “For me, this collection reflects the perfect fusion of an institutional French brand and the Parisian spirit of our Maison.”
Consisting of 10 styles of tights, matching stockings and over-knees, the collection features materials such as tulle, voile, cotton, wool and lurex.
It incorporates embroideries and subtle lace effects with ‘styles for the evening or for the active life of a modern woman’, in gold, black and bold colours.
Gerbe was founded in France, in 1904, by Stéphane Gerbe. Gerbe hosiery is distributed throughout France and worldwide in its own shops, on its website www.gerbe.com, as well as in exclusive department stores and specialists stores.
