Galleria Intima, India’s biggest intimates sourcing event, is moving to the capital city for its 2015 show, to make way for more exhibitors.
Show organiser, the Intimate Apparel Association of India (IAAI), said the event will be held in New Dehli on a “much larger and grander scale”, with 80 exhibitors expected to participate.
The location, with its well-connected transport links, is expected to help transform the all-India fair into a global event.
Previous shows have been held at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Goa.
“The objective of the trade show is to showcase the best that the country has got to offer while enabling international suppliers to gain a foothold in the Indian intimate wear market,” said IAAI CEO Yusuf Dohadwala.
Galleria Intima 2015 is expected to attract more than 1500 visitors, compared to 855 last year.
“The reasons behind the rise in visitor footfall and participation are not difficult to fathom. Galleria Intima provides the industry stakeholders, manufacturers, decision-makers and big-wigs a common platform to meet and network under one roof,” adds Dohadwala.
The event, now in its 4th year, will be held at the Crowne Plaza hotel in New Delhi on August 26-27.
