The Parisian flagship store of the Galeries Lafayette department store group is set to launch its new concept lingerie department on May 6, 2013.
Following on from the success of the Panty Bar, which the store opened specifically for the Valentine’s Day shopping season, the innovative fourth floor lingerie department will feature 50 brands, including the stores own label.
The 3,500 sqm space will be designed to replicate the a Haussmann-style apartment, with the individual ‘rooms’ being furnished to match the brands and garments they are selling.
The department will be split up into three style categories, including legwear, luxury and contemporary designs and houses a dedicated area for young designers.
To mark the launch of the new concept store, which has been conceived by French designer Stella Candente, the store windows will play host to unique displays featuring intimate apparel throughout the month.
Lycra, the official partner for the launch will also be hosting a series of events to mark the new opening.
