BBC presenter Gabby Logan has been selected as the face of Speedo Sculpture’s latest shaping swimwear line.
The 39 year old former gymnast is a regular swimmer and sports enthusiast.
She also regularly takes her twins, aged seven, with her to the pool.
Logan said: "Swimming is the perfect exercise if you want to feel healthy or to just relax – going for a swim always clears my mind and gives me some valuable ‘me time’ when I need it.
Recent research by Speedo suggested that insecurities about their bodies was stopping many women from swimming.
According to the brand, over a third of the one thousand women that were surveyed claimed that the way they look in swimwear was the main reason they were put off.
More than half (53 per cent) reportedly stated that there were moments when they had been almost reduced to tears while trying on swimwear.
A further 48 per cent admitted that they felt too self-conscious to take their children swimming.
Logan added: "We have all felt the unease about getting into our swimwear, but we should be motivated by the sporting achievements from the last few months to get ourselves a little healthier and to take the plunge.
Logan is joined on the ‘Plunge Panel’ by celebrity hair and make up artist Julia Carta and fitness stylist Kellie Daggett to give women the tips and advice they need to give them the confidence to ‘Take the Plunge’ and get into the water.
The new Speedo Sculpture range is designed to nip in waists and flatten stomachs, the biggest body hang up according to 40 percent of women surveyed.
Speedo UK marketing manager Sally Polak said: “We hope that our Sculpture body shaping range of swimwear along with the tips and advice from our Plunge Panel will give women the motivation and confidence to get back into the water and enable them to reap the many physical and mental benefits of swimming”.
