The avant-garde lingerie brand FYI by Dani Read has announced that it will be presenting a catwalk show at LingerieFW in New York this month.
The brand, which describes itself as having a "sinister high fashion edge that is meant to empower", will present its AW13 collection, Isis, which features dark colourways including black, dark sienna and warm desert gold, triangular motifs inspired by the art and architecture of Ancient Egypt, and fabrics such as leather, python skin and gold hardware.
The label’s debut collection was presented at Brooklyn’s Williamsburg Fashion Week in 2011.
"We are honored to welcome FYI by Dani Read back to the catwalk at the first Lingerie Fashion Week." said Lauren Rich, founder and director of LingerieFW. "Read’s progressive designs and boundary-pushing branding are a perfect fit for our stage – we are thrilled to be in such great company!"
LingerieFW has also announced a deal that will provide complimentary hair and make-up services to all participating designers, courtesy of The Temple, a Paul Mitchell Partner School, in collaboration with MAT, Advanced Makeup Education at The Temple and Ultimate Face Cosmetics.
