Freya lingerie has been nominated for a CoolBrand award by an expert council made up of fashion designers, bloggers, musicians and actors.
The experts, including Homeland actor David Harewood and designer Sadie Frost, along with thousands of consumers, nominated Freya for the award based on a list of criteria which epitomise the meaning of ‘cool.’
Freya’s SS14 lingerie and swimwear collection is energetic and edgy, combining vibrant colours and bold prints.
Freya marketing head Ann Marie Manley commented on the nomination; “CoolBrands search out the nation’s coolest brands looking for the best style, innovation, originality, authenticity, desirability and uniqueness, it’s absolutely fantastic they’ve nominated Freya for having such attributes,” she added.
“Freya’s ahead of the curve and constantly pushes the boundaries, both with its unique style of collections as well as campaigns. Freya was the first lingerie brand to use Spotify, QR codes as well as aurasma and taking part in high profile events such as the Mobo Awards have added to our cool kudos.”
CoolBrands has been gathering the opinions of experts and consumers to produce a barometer of Britain’s coolest brands, people and places since 2001.
Freya’s nomination will now go on to be judged by CoolBrands which will then publish the final brand results in late September.
Brands already awarded for their coolness include Wonderbra, Adidas and Monolo Blahnik.
