French printing specialist named Designer of the Year by Interfiliere

French printing specialist Rocle By Isabella will be crowned 2017 Designer of the Year at Interfiliere Paris this season.

The brand will be celebrated for its services to the lingerie and swimwear industries at the fabric show on July 8.

Rocle By Isabella is an offshoot of the Pierre Rocle weaving company, which has been based in the Tarare textile region of France since 1856.

The company entered the lingerie market in 1995, and in 2004, it started specialising in the development of printed fabrics collections for corsetry.

The business was bought in 2007 by export manager Emmanuelle Bonnetin and designer Isabelle Rivier, and in 2015, they expanded into the swimwear market on the back of demand from lingerie clients including Van de Velde and the Lise Charmel Group.

Rocle by Isabella will celebrate 10 years at Interfilière Paris this summer by launching its first collection of two-way stretch wovens featuring LYCRA fibre.

Its new swim line features two thematic colour stories with a strong visual focus.

Exotic Relaxing offers retro florals and reworked animals prints in shades of blue and green, while Paradise Journey has an ethnic feel, featuring a warmer palette of plum, pinks and copper.
