Lingerie and swimwear categories have been added to the SR:D Awards (Scotland Re:Designed), with winners being given the chance to exhibit for free at The Lingerie Edit.
Scottish lingerie, swimwear, underwear and nightwear brands were able to enter the Lingerie & Edit Award in the SR:D Awards, with the prize including one funded 6ft x 6ft exhibition space at The Lingerie Edit in London’s Savoy hotel in January, plus inclusion in a trade release.
The Lingerie & Edit Award is sponsored by APM Agency and will give brands that entered an opportunity to exhibit alongside companies such as Loveday London, Inamorata, Bluebella, Tragic Kiss and Rose Fulbright.
The event is seen as Europe’s premier trade fair for mid-to-high end brands targeting the UK and European markets.
APM Agency is run by the organiser of The Lingerie Edit, David Finlayson, who is a key player in the UK lingerie and swimwear industry and will be choosing the winning Scottish brand.
Finlayson is the former president of sales and marketing for Calvin Klein Underwear Europe and consultant to numerous major brands, including Tommy Hilfiger, D&G, M&S and Hanes.
The Lingerie Edit will be on 12-13 January, and although applications for this year have now closed, brands can look forward to next year’s SR:D Awards.
