Frederick’s of Hollywood reports Q1 loss

US lingerie firm Frederick’s of Hollywood Group has reported a net loss of $297,000 (£190,000) for its fiscal 2011 first quarter, which ended on October 30.

The retailer claimed that its net sales had decreased eight percent to $28.6 million (£18.3 million) for the period.

The results were an improvement on the previous year, during which it posted a $2.6 million (£1.7 million) loss.

Frederick’s of Hollywood company chairman and chief executive Thomas Lynch said: "Our financial results from continuing operations for the first quarter of fiscal 2011 reflect the significant progress we have made in improving the performance of our continuing retail business."
