Fleur of England collaborates with DMU

Fleur of England is working with the second year ‘Contour Fashion’ students at De Montfort University, as part of a new competition.

The students have to create two knickers and a bra for one of the Fleur of England moods: Fiercely feminine, Romantic, Powerful, Playful and Luxurious for their technical project.

Fleur of England founder Fleur Turner will be personally visiting the students at De Montfort and will judge their creations on December 14.

Turner said: “I think it’s so important to encourage our young talent at university you are at your most creative it needs to be nurtured! I am very excited about this project and hope it leads to many more in the future. I am particularly interested in the photos the students will produce and their ideas of styling their creations.”

Frankie Goulden, Fleur of England’s production Coordinator, a previous student at De Montfort, was on hand to deliver the brief to the students in October.

She said: “Technical aspects are foundational at Fleur of England, therefore we are happy to collaborate and encourage technical excellence within the girls’ Contour studies.”

Fleur of England seeks to support students by providing short-term work experience and longer-term internships based on the students needs. Many of these students have gone on to become employees of the company.

The prizes include Fleur of England lingerie, student showcase blog posts and work experience.
