First resort programme helps push sales at CURVENV

CURVENV Las Vegas had a successful SS15 show, with vendors experiencing strong sales over the two-day event, helped by its first-ever Resort Hotel and Spa programme, organisers have said.

The 20|40 programme brought together 20 resort and hotel industry leaders representing more than 350 properties with a selection of 40 intimate apparel and swimwear brands.

Buyers from hotels such as St Regis Monarch Beach in California and The Four Seasons in Toronto toured the show on August 18, before attending a workshop and dinner in the evening.

This resulted in more than 120 appointments being booked on the second day of the show with exhibiting brands, including Babajaan, Blush, Eberjey, LELO, Love Haus and Vannina Vespririni.

The workshop identified the synergies between the hotels, resorts and spas purchasing needs and constraints, as well their buying patterns.

The brands also received insight on how to adapt their collections for resort/hotel and spa boutiques while these resorts discovered how intimate apparel brands could compliment their existing offering.

Event organiser CURVEXPO said it looks forward to putting together future editions of the 20|40 Spa programme, as well implementing new features for 2015, including a new web platform, expanded VIP retailer program and extended outreach to new, emerging designers.
