Fifty Shades of Grey products to debut at Salon

The new pleasure product collection by Omora is inspired by Fifty Shades of Grey, the fastest-selling book of all time. The range, which comprises nine pleasure toys and 11 soft bondage pieces, will showcase at the Salon International de la Lingerie beginning January 19.

Dan Gasper, Omora’s commercial director said: "Paris is the biggest lingerie show in the world. It is a fantastic opportunity for us to introduce the range to the best retailers of lingerie worldwide.

"It’s fair to say that, in the past, many lingerie retailers have been reluctant to sell pleasure products, as they are unsure of their customers’ reactions," he said.

"But Fifty Shades of Grey has changed the whole retail landscape and created an enormous surge in interest in pleasure products around the world. Upwards of 100 million people have read the books and want to live out the fantasies inspired by Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey."

The endorsement of the range by author E. L. James has, according to Gasper, led fans of the book to respond favourably to the products.

He said: "Many of the books’ readers are fearful of the quality of many pleasure products, so with the Fifty Shades of Grey Official Collection retailers have a safe and trustworthy collection to offer their customers from the brand that sparked their interest in the first place."

Omora is the new wholesale offshoot of Lovehoney, Britain’s biggest online seller of sex toys.
