Fenwick takes on emerging swimwear brand West Seventy Nine

Luxury swimwear and resortwear brand West Seventy Nine will launch into two of Fenwick’s biggest department stores.

The British label, founded by Nicky Clayton, the former creative director at Rigby and Peller, will deliver its bohemian inspired collection to Fenwick’s Bond Street and Newcastle stores this week.

“I am absolutely delighted to be stocked at Fenwick’s department stores in Bond Street and Newcastle – their dedication to championing British fashion and design is so positive and refreshing,” Clayton told Lingerie Insight.

Launched in 2015, West Seventy Nine swimwear and resortwear is made using Italian fabrics and exclusive European trims and hardwear.

Describing her latest collection, Clayton said: “This holiday capsule has a strong focus on beachwear – offering the essential mix and match bikinis – bandeau, triangle, full coverage or cheeky briefs in prints and plains to complement every holiday experience. Resortwear pieces are inspired by ready-to-wear silhouettes and transition from beachwear into day wear.”

Clayton has over 17 years experience in the intimate apparel industry, having worked in buying and product development roles at Harrods, Rigby & Peller and House of Fraser.
