Fenwick Bond Street buyer named UKLA judge

Lingerie Insight is pleased to announce Fenwick Bond Street hosiery buyer Sue Harrisson as a judge for the 2015 UK Lingerie Awards.

Harrisson began her Fenwick career as a trainee and progressed to become a buyer before taking on the role as head of buying for hosiery in 1994.

This year, Fenwick Bond Street opened a new hosiery department and she was instrumental in designing the space.

She also took part in a live Twitter Q&A, answering customers’ questions on the do’s and don’ts of wearing hosiery.

“We couldn’t be happier to welcome Sue onto our 2015 judging panel,” said Lingerie Insight editor Sarah Blackman.

“There is no one more experienced than Sue when it comes to spotting a quality and fashionable hosiery product, and I’m sure we’ll have hosiery brands entering the awards in their droves, just to get their designs seen by her.”

There are 21 Award categories this year, 17 of which will be judged two separate panels of leading intimate apparel experts.

One panel, comprised of retailers, buyers and trend forecasters, will meet on October 6 to assess the brand categories and choose their winners.

The second panel, made up of brands and agents, will judge the four retail categories, including Department Store of the Year, Multiple Retailer of the Year, Independent Retailer of the Year and Digital Retailer of the Year.

Any judge who works for a nominated company was not allowed to vote in that category.
