Female athletes support new brand’s activewear campaign

New lines from the Acai Activewear AW17 range.

Emerging brand Acai Activewear is preparing to launch a social media campaign to help share the stories of inspirational female athletes and personal trainers.

The idea of the ‘We want to hear your story’ initiative is to actively encourage and inspire women to stay active despite personal issues they may have had to overcome.

Acai Activewear has teamed up with Caithy Walker, a finalist of the ‘Body 2016’ competition launched by Women’s Health Magazine.

After being diagnosed with an incurable back condition, Walker fought through the pain and taught herself to run again.

“We will be sharing Caithy’s story and encouraging other women to talk about how they have overcome health issues through fitness,” said Acai co-founder and creative director Kasia Bromley.

“Our ambassadors will be available to answer any questions and give advice via our website, which launches this month.”

Acai Activewear is also working with personal trainer Laura Phelan. Laura overcame a serious eating disorder as a teenager and is now promoting a healthy body image.

The campaign will coincide with the launch of Acai’s new ecommerce website this month.
