EXCLUSIVE: STRIP launches loungewear brand

Lingerie and waxing chain STRIP has launched its own range of loungewear, titled Wear It.

The eponymous label consists of six styles: a racer back cami, scoop t-shirt, race back chemise, tie side shorts, tie side trousers and a cami & short set.

Available in stretch silk satin, the colour palette focuses on pale mink and ink black, in sizes XS to L.

STRIP co-founder Danielle Featherstone-Price told Lingerie Insight: “We’ve gone with things that can be worn outside, as well as inside. We have just done the fundamentals and then we are going to work our way up.

“Obviously, the lingerie side of our business isn’t so recession proof and I think that was in the back of our thought process when we were putting together our own label. If people are spending their money, they want to know they will be wearing a lot… To be able to buy something that you can lounge round the house in or that you can stick on with pair of skinny jeans, it’s a double whammy then. You really have got a lot for your money.”

The Wear It collection is available exclusively in STRIP stores now and from the retailer’s online boutique, which will launch in January, 2012.
