Lingerie sales at Lovehoney have rocketed 525% in the last year, Lingerie Insight has learned.
In the 12 months to March 31, sales revenue for Lovehoney’s private lingerie label grew from £459,000 to £2.9 million.
Lovehoney Lingerie designer Heather Mercer attributed the growth to the quality and value of the brand’s products.
“It’s been fantastic to see the amazing growth in Lovehoney’s own lingerie sales in the two years since launch. I came on board with the sole aim to design ranges to make women of all sizes feel amazing and we include customers’ feedback at every stage of the design process in order that new ranges are tailored to their needs,” she added.
“We have released new lines each season which follow analysis of thousands of customer reviews and in-depth research of industry trends. We source luxurious fabrics at reasonable prices and there’s no doubt that Lovehoney’s lingerie sales have surged as a result of the level of quality that we’ve delivered at such a good price.”
The news follows the retailer’s announcement that it has seen a 68% rise in pre-tax profits to £5.1 million and a 29% increase in global turnover to £58 million in the last 12 months.
