Bravissimo has extended its lead in the race for UK social media engagement to the extent that it now commands more Facebook ‘likes’ and Twitter followers than its nearest rival in the multi-brand lingerie retail segment, Lingerie Insight can reveal.
Social media has become an increasingly important battleground for the top lingerie brands as they jostle for market share, with platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and YouTube used to engage, influence and interact with customers.
Research for the 2017 Lingerie Insight Reach list, which charts the social media influence of the leading lingerie, swimwear, loungewear and hosiery brands and retailers in six key categories, has shed new light on just how heavily companies are investing in this part of their business.
And while multi-brand retailers Figleaves, Brastop, UK Tights, Simply Beach and Belle Lingerie have all strengthened their social media reach this year, it is Bravissimo that come out on top.
Based on figures collated in September and October 2017, Bravissimo had accrued some 88,000 Facebook ‘likes’ in the UK. Its Twitter following has swelled to 13,800, while its followers on Instagram have grown to 13,900 in the last 12 months.
In the last year, Bravissimo has launched a new UK website with new branding and photography, resulting in increased sales.
Across social media, the fuller-bust specialist has been engaging with customers through various campaigns, including #doyouthing, which encouraged women to share inspirational stories about how Bravissimo has helped them in their everyday lives.
One post came from a 64 year-old fuller bust customer who said Bravissimo has helped her do her hobby, static trapeze, for the last 14 years.
