Theo Paphitis has announced that he is currently investigating franchise partners to launch Boux Avenue around the globe.
The lingerie company boss and Dragon’s Den member told Lingerie Insight that he has already been approached by a series of retailers interested in setting up a Boux Avenue store.
“I am a great believer in working with partners in other countries,” Paphitis said. “I would have thought that we will look at getting our first franchise store up and running by the beginning of 2012. We have already had someone approach us from the Middle East for a partnership, so we are quite keen there.”
The entrepreneur is looking to Europe and Eastern Europe for his first partnerships, but has said that he eventually wants to operate around the world.
“We have had interest from Scandinavia already,” he said. “We’ve got people on the line and we are waiting to see the stores first.”
“When and if we move to America and Canada, we will have to wait and see, but there are no plans for it at the moment. So Europe is definitely where we are going to be… Asia is certainly a possibility. I was there recently and great market.”
