Eurojersey, the maker of Sensitive Fabrics, has outlined the inspirations behind its SS17 swimwear collection.
The Sensitive Fabrics Swimwear collection, which was launched at the Mare di Moda trade show in Cannes earlier this month, is influenced by the Earth’s colours, as seen from space.
Space-Earth: This trend is inspired by the observation of the Earth from outer space. The Earth is captured by cool colours of blue and turquoise, reminiscent of the iridescent sea surface and of the horizon. Also expect textural surfaces and weaves that create optical illusions through the use of 3D printing.
Surf: Surfers riding the waves provide the mood for this theme, which is reminiscent of sea foam crashing on the beach. High performance fabrics will be made using watercolour shades and tie-dye effects that are influenced by the rider’s energy and passion.
Savanna: This ethnic theme features rustic tones and geometric tribal patterns. Look out for intense rays of amber, fiery Savanna red and earthy green. Animal prints and tattoo patterns also feature.
Aloe: Continuing the natural theme, this trend is inspired by healing and wellbeing. Calming shades of green are used to develop high performance fabrics such as Sensitive Fit, Sensitive Life and Sculpt Light. A new green Aloe colour has also been added to Eurojersey’s Sensitive Classic Colour Therapy chart.
Gardening: This theme is based around sustainability and our individual responsibilities to protect our planet. Flowers and fruit explode with wonder and splendour in photographic prints and water colour patterns.
